“Friend Within” Lessons, Doubts, and Critiques to TEDxSantoDomingo2018 visions.

This work in process story is still a draft asking people for lessons, doubts, and critiques both as those visionary giving talks at TEDxSantoDomingo2018 or those on the receiving end, to help complete it with comments in writing, for example, directly in Medium that will remain attached to this story, or not attached, when sent, for example, indirectly to me by Twitter’s Direct messages to @gmh_upsa or by eMail to javs@ieee.org.
Some of the content is socialized in English, Spanish, or both, the “Friend Within” Lesson (explained below) enables Doubts, and Critiques that come from interpretations of what we learned in the event and what’s available in social media, taking in consideration the beginning of our transformation to the “Friend Within” suggested by the Jujutsu Grand Master Pedro Valente Jr. The visions (I think I am missing one or two if there were 3 in each session) are meant follow the order of the presentations, but the detail is not necessarily the chronological event order.
INTRODUCTION TO TEDxSantoDomingo2018
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
INTEGRATING THE DEEP DISCUSSION
This story that tries to integrate what transpired at the November 17 TEDxSantoDomingo 2018 is based on what the great American philosopher Charles Sander Peirce said:
Ideas need to be discussed because there is no one truth about the enterprise. Instead, there are many partial truths. To try to get to the truth we need to collaborate with others, because we are limited and need that social learning.
HOW TO CRITIQUE
Should readers contrast TED Talks “ ideas worth spreading,” with what Roberto Verganti says in his book “Overcrowded: Designing Meaningful Products in a World Awash with Ideas?:
Surprisingly, my response is that of the TEDxSantoDomingo2018 guiding light “ Equilibrium,” but only from the side of society. From the side of business, they must be in the”Disequilibrium” game of innovations to increase wealth and survive with curiosity. Based on my partial knowledge of that book, I suggest that we make the assumption that each talk convey a vision as an idea worth spreading.
While Verganti suggests that visions must be open to critique the way he suggests, I propose here an approximation to critique those vision of ideas worth spreading by those starting to practice the “Friend Within” kind of responses that Pedro Valente suggested. As TEDx aims “to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group,” it fits well with what Verganti’s process suggests. In my case, I will be asking questions based on my vision:

Desde el punto de vista contraintutivo de este relato integrador, es muy interesante haber contado con la visión de un precandidato a la presidencia de la República Domincana. No deben quedar dudas al respecto.

Mi interpretación. Dominguez Brito está muy preocupado por la situación ecológica de Haití y la concentración de personas en Puerto Principe con graves efectos en la salud para los ciudadanos. Lo ve como muy importante en la relación entre ambos países.
Mientras hay a nivel dominicano dos puntos de vistas a favor y en contra sobre lo que podemos hacer con Haití los dominicanos, entiendo que nuestra división se debe a la gran influencia que tiene sobre la grandes mayoría la obsoleta mentalidad de La Riqueza de las Naciones, cuyo desequlibrio corresponde al vacío de liderazgo global.
Sugiero que dicho vacío se debe a la existencia de un puñado de bloque de naciones independientes, por ejemplo, Estados Unido de América, la Unión Europea, China, India y Rusia, como los más destacados. La situación ecológica de Haití y de otros lugares no menos importantes, entiendo se beneficia con la mentalidad de La Riqueza de la Globalización que propone que dichos bloques se vuelvan interdependientes.
No es en realidad que solo se vuelvan interdependientes, Es que la interación entre dichos bloque es la que agrega o destruye riqueza. En efecto, los bloque independientes que protegen instituciones contra otros bloques están evitando la creación de riqueza que necesita la humandad.
Esto me recuerda el libro de C. K. Prahalad “La Riqueza en la Base de la pirámide,” que entiendo se desvirtuó por la influencia de La Riqueza de las Naciones. En efecto, es lo que inspiró la ampliación del relato introductorio.

Está muy bien ser dominicano. Yo lo soy. Prueba de ello es que me gradué en una de las mejores universidades de Estados Unidos. Regresé. Me quedé. También soy muy santiaguero. Ambos fueron de las pocas opciones de La Riqueza de las Naciones. Basado en mi visión que vengo compartiendo de La Riqueza de la Globalización, sugiero que debemos ser también ciudadanos globales y ciudadanos del bloque de América Latina, pero siempre que sea para que esté último se organce como un bloque interdependiente.

La creación de riqueza en la agricultura se beneficia bastante por las tecnologías de información por la economía de escala en el lado de la demanda. Esto es contrario a la economía de escala en el lado de la oferta de modelo industrial. La mayor oportunidad está en el desarrollo de plataformas tecnológicas de aplicación global que apoyen los cultivos.

Transformation from “Enemy Within” to “Friend Within” is critical for my and maybe others visionaries effectiveness. Please help me help you focus on the change in direction society needs to The Wealth of Globalization mindset in order to accept to get close to the reality of a highly interdependent world by enabling its transformation, instead of continuing to diverge in different directions under The Wealth of Nations mindset that has been far from reality since Margaret Thatcher said there was no alternative to Neoliberalism with more and more transitions as if the future was still a continuation of the past.

Is it true “Train your mind so that you don’t have to use it.” This is an old discussion I had with someone that told me it is not our mind that enables our automatic responses, but the body itself as a result of the practices that become second nature to us. This is how I remind it, but I can be more accurate if there interest on it.

This is very interesting. Using a lesson learned from the JIU-JITSU PHILOSOPHY by “Pedro Valente.” it seems to me that “not that I wanted for it to result in a debate,” and “to raise flags” might be transformed from the “enemy within” to a “friend within” practice to learn about “the inexactitude.”

En los sistemas altamente complejos, las ciencias no son fiables. La mejor metodología a emplear es la heurística de la arqutecturía de sistemas. Su rol es ayudar a definir los elementos más importantes de la arquitectura para la transformación creando la oportunidad para la metodología participativa de la transición al rumbo definido por la transformación.

People think they are helping by sending supplies to disaster areas. Trilce show how critical supply chains gets congested by non-critical supplies. Behind this behavior, where cause and effect are close in time and space is ineffective to deal with a wicked problem.

By suggesting to address the wicked problem with traditional tame problem industrial world ideas, where cause and effect are not close in time, but close in space, suggest to donate money. Addressing the wicked problem under the assumption that cause and effect are not close in time, nor in space, might lead to the development of institutional innovations at the global level, under the vision of The Wealth of Globalization.
Opportunities to transform the places from industrial civilization to the systemic civilization, for example, in Puerto Rico, central energy to distributed energy, after the María hurricane was lost.
